Georgios X. Protopapas  is international relations specialist and  journalist. He is  Social Media Analyst at Paloservices , Journalist – Senior Analyst  Geopolitics and International Diplomacy  at the Greek  printed monthly Magazine Defense & Diplomacy (ΑΜΥΝΑ & ΔΙΠΛΩΜΑΤΙΑ ) and Member of the Advisory Board at  Modern Diplomacy.eu  an english- speaking journal . He was from 2000 until  2014  Journalist – Foreign Desk Editor at the Greek prestigious weekly political and financial newspaper “The Investor” (ΕΠΕΝΔΥΤΗΣ).

George as international relations specialist  has participated as speaker in various  international scientific conferences and has published papers and articles  in English and greek journals and media. He has studied European Studies, University of Hertfordshire (UK) and has pursued postgraduate studies in International Relations, University of Kent (UK). He is also  Executive Director  – Analyst at the greek Center for International Strategic Analyses   (KEDISA).

George also analyses the effects of  Social Media on  politics, economy , diplomacy and international and social affairs based on the study of  quantitative and qualitative data of  PaloPro, a web & social listening & analytics tool. Moreover, he is specialist on the web and social media data analysis for political parties and figures.

He is also co-author with Nikos Arvavites of the greek book “In social MEDIARES “which analyses the trends of  the greek online  public opinion  (social media, sites, opinions, blogs, forums)  for  “hot ” issues of politics, economy,  diplomacy and social and international affairs,.

As well as , George continues to advance his skills on the analysis of Social and Digital Media via vocational certifications.  He obtained a  Digital Marketing Diploma ,Center of Entrepreneurship Development & Innovation (KEAK) a Certificate in Driving Digital and Social Media Strategy, Center of Entrepreneurship Development & Innovation (KEAK) and a  Certificate in Social Media, The European Institute of Communications (Ireland)

His  research interests focus on the issues of social media, foreign policy, geopolitics, international diplomacy, energy, terrorism, energy security and public diplomacy.
